Constructed with control in mind, the Dunlop Sonic Core Pro 130 allows the user to place the ball exactly where their opponent will not be able to reach it.
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to jump on court and try this racquet out...

Lengths
I found the Sonic Core Pro 130 incredibly satisfying to play with. After hitting a few lengths I could really feel the control that this racquet gives you.
Although the smaller head size of 470cm2 makes the sweet spot a little on the smaller side too, it still feels pretty forgiving on off-centre hits and, when you hit that sweet spot, it feels absolutely great.
Volleys
Considering that the Sonic Core Pro 130 is classed primarily as a control frame by Dunlop, and they only give it a 6/10 power rating on their website, I'd have to disagree! I could still play repeated punchy, powerful volleys with this racquet without a ton of effort.
Then, when I slowed down the pace a little, the control of this racquet really kicked in, I was able to hit the ball tight and consistently shot after shot.
Short Game
I'd say that the consistency you can access with the Dunlop Sonic Core Pro 130 is quite possibly its main feature, especially when taking the ball in short!
Each time you hit the ball it feels almost exactly the same as the previous shot, making it really easy to accurately place the ball tight into those corners.
Also, even though this racquet is 130 grams which could be seen as more of a medium weighting, it has a head-light balance point which allowed me to play around with some wrist and deception in the front corners.
Maneuverability
To test maneuverability, I hit some figure of 8 routines and incorporated a few winners and crash nicks (both straight and cross court).
Again, the nice weighting of 130 grams combined with a head light balance point allowed me to access a nice combination of head speed and precision.
This really allowed me to maneuvre the Sonic Core Pro 130 at a high pace without my wrist getting too fatigued.
I could hit angles, volleys, and winners at a fast pace while being confident in hitting my targets.
Final Thoughts and Recommendations
I'd say that this racquet suits the all-round game pretty well and is ideal for intermediate to advanced level players looking to control their shot accuracy and mix it up a bit in the process.
If you like to hit with a bit of power, you do have to put in a little bit more work and it does require a slightly bigger swing.
But, the control this racquet provides really allows you to place the ball wherever you want it to go and you can use this to dictate the pace of the rally.
