Salming Viper Gecko Green Squash ShoesThe new Salming Viper 2.0 have arrived at Control the 'T' Sports! There are 2 new colours. A gecko green colour scheme and a white colour scheme. The 2.0 version features the same technologies at the original Viper version but have been made slightly stronger on the medial side to protect better against the foot drag on the medial side. The original technologies that have made this shoe such a great performing squash shoe are Rollbar, XR110 Rubber, T.G.S. 62/75,  3 Layer Construction, LMS+, ErgoHeelCup, and RunLite. The feature Salming cushioning foam in the rearfoot to help absorb shock. Unlike the Race series they not have the rebound foam in the forefoot area. They are designed to keep the player closer and more connected to the court which helps performance.

Rollbar

Rollbar refers to a technology that Salming has incorporated in to the shoe to help with the dynamic movement required in squash. Salming have increased the radius of the shoe on the medial side of the shoe to allow for faster push off towards the ball. The first step in squash needs to be quick and the Viper 2.0 really help the player.

XR110 Rubber

Good traction on the court is an obvious necessity. You need to be able to trust your shoe to grip the floor when you plant to stop or start your movement and the XR110 outsole on the Viper 2.0 give you the grip you need.

T.G.S. 62/75

Different parts of the shoe have to react differently to your movement. The rear portion of the shoe has to provide stability and support. The forefoot area needs to be more flexible to allow the foot to move more freely and naturally. The TGS 62/75 ballet line separates the two section of the shoe to provide a great combination of stability and flexibility in the appropriate areas.

3 Layer Construction

The Salming Viper 2.0 are an extremely light weight shoe that breathe very well too. Salming accomplished this while still providing excellent structural support. The 3 layers are a first layer mesh, than the ExoSkeleton second layer that provides the necessary lateral support for a squash shoe and the third layer is another layer of mesh. The shoes are soft, comfortable and breathe extremely well but provide excellent stability due the ExoSkeleton layer.

LMS+

Planting your foot and changing direction suddenly is a very common occurrence in squash. The Viper really help protect your foot from rolling outwards with the LMS+ technology. The shoe flare out on the outside of the foot and create an 11 degree postive angle that really helps prevent the foot from rolling outwards. It allows the player to be comfortable that they can plant their foot hard to change directions.

ErgoHeelCup

Your heel needs to stay in your shoe and not slip up and down while moving. The ErgoHeelCup from Salming keeps the heel comfortably in the shoe helping performance.

RunLiteSalming Viper White Squash Shoes

Salming has put a high abrasion EVA in the midsole of the shoe to help create a terrific feel on the squash court. Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) how providing cushioning to the shoe. The Viper a great feeling pair of shoes right out of the box with little break in time required

The Salming Viper 2 are an excellent pair of shoes for squash. They are very light, very comfortable and breathe extremely well. The ExoSkeleton structure and LMS+ provide excellent lateral stability to the shoe.
